1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Shownic website, online store, product information, customer-service facilities, and related digital services.

By visiting the website, creating an account, placing an order, or using any available service, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

When you do not agree with these terms, you should not use the website or place an order through it.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The current version will be published on this page with the revised “Last Updated” date.

2. Eligibility

You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement or use the website under the supervision of a parent, legal guardian, or authorised representative.

When placing an order on behalf of a business or another person, you confirm that you have authority to act for them.

3. Use of Website

You may use the website only for lawful personal or business-shopping purposes.

You agree not to:

  • Use the website for illegal, fraudulent, or harmful activity

  • Provide false or misleading information

  • Attempt to access another customer’s account

  • Interfere with website security

  • Introduce viruses or malicious software

  • Copy or scrape website content without permission

  • Use automated systems to place fraudulent orders

  • Attempt to bypass payment or security controls

  • Misuse promotions, discount codes, or loyalty benefits

  • Impersonate another person or organisation

  • Use the website in a manner that may damage Shownic or its users

We may suspend or restrict access where we reasonably believe the website is being misused.

4. Customer Accounts

Some services may require an account.

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate information

  • Keeping your details updated

  • Protecting your password

  • Restricting access to your device

  • Informing us of suspected unauthorised activity

You are responsible for actions completed through your account unless the activity resulted directly from a security failure under our control.

We may suspend or close an account where information is false, security is compromised, or these terms have been violated.

5. Product Information and Pricing

We aim to provide clear and accurate information about products, including descriptions, images, specifications, dimensions, features, prices, availability, and warranty terms.

However:

  • Images may appear different depending on screen settings

  • Product colours may vary slightly

  • Packaging may change

  • Specifications may differ between models

  • Accessories shown in lifestyle images may not be included

  • Features may depend on software, region, internet access, or third-party services

  • Minor errors may occasionally appear

Customers should review the complete product details before ordering.

5.1 Pricing

Prices are displayed in the currency stated on the website and may include or exclude taxes, delivery, installation, or other charges as indicated during checkout.

We may change prices at any time before an order is accepted.

When a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price because of a technical or administrative error, we may:

  • Contact you to confirm the correct price

  • Cancel the affected order

  • Issue a refund where payment has already been collected

Promotional pricing is available only during the stated campaign period and may be subject to stock limitations or additional conditions.

6. Product Availability

Products are subject to availability.

Adding an item to a shopping cart does not reserve it. Availability is normally confirmed when the order is reviewed and accepted.

When an ordered product becomes unavailable, we may:

  • Contact you with an estimated availability date

  • Offer a suitable alternative

  • Remove the unavailable item

  • Cancel the affected order

  • Issue an applicable refund

7. Orders and Payment

7.1 Placing an Order

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products under these terms.

An automated order confirmation acknowledges that we have received your request. It does not necessarily mean that the order has been finally accepted.

An order is accepted when we confirm acceptance, begin processing the order, dispatch the product, or provide another clear confirmation.

7.2 Order Verification

We may contact you to verify:

  • Customer identity

  • Telephone number

  • Delivery address

  • Payment details

  • Product selection

  • Order quantity

  • Suspected fraudulent activity

An order may be delayed or cancelled when we cannot complete the required verification.

7.3 Payment Methods

Available payment methods will be displayed during checkout and may include:

  • Online card payment

  • Bank transfer

  • Payment link

  • Cash on delivery

  • Other approved payment methods

Available methods may vary by location, order value, product, and delivery option.

7.4 Payment Authorisation

You confirm that you are authorised to use the selected payment method.

Orders may be cancelled when payment is:

  • Declined

  • Reversed

  • Unauthorised

  • Incomplete

  • Flagged for security review

  • Not received within the required period

7.5 Cash on Delivery

Cash-on-delivery orders may be subject to:

  • Location limitations

  • Maximum order values

  • Additional service charges

  • Restrictions for selected products

Customers should prepare the required payment amount before delivery.

8. Shipping and Delivery

8.1 Delivery Areas

Delivery is available only to the locations supported by Shownic or its delivery partners.

Certain remote locations may require additional charges or longer delivery times.

8.2 Delivery Estimates

Any delivery date or time provided is an estimate unless expressly confirmed as guaranteed.

Delays may occur because of:

  • Product availability

  • Payment verification

  • Weather

  • Traffic

  • Public holidays

  • Security restrictions

We will make reasonable efforts to provide updates when a significant delay becomes known.

8.3 Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring someone is available to receive the delivery

  • Confirming access requirements

  • Checking doorway, staircase, lift, and installation-space dimensions

  • Obtaining building or property permissions where required

Additional delivery charges may apply when delivery fails because of inaccurate information, restricted access, or customer unavailability.

8.4 Inspection at Delivery

Customers should inspect the external packaging and product condition at delivery.

Visible damage, missing items, or incorrect products should be reported immediately to the delivery team and Shownic customer service.

Signing a delivery document without noting visible damage may affect our ability to investigate the matter.

8.5 Installation

Installation may be:

  • Included

  • Available at an additional charge

  • Provided by an authorised partner

  • Unavailable for certain products or locations

Customers should not operate products requiring professional installation before installation is completed correctly.

Unauthorised or incorrect installation may affect performance, safety, and warranty coverage.

9. Returns and Refunds

  • The wrong product was delivered

  • The product has a verified manufacturing defect

  • Description of the issue

  • Photographs or videos where requested

  • Normal wear

  • External electrical conditions

  • Another excluded cause

9.5 Refunds

Approved refunds will normally be issued through the original payment method where possible.

Delivery, installation, and service charges may be non-refundable unless the return resulted from our error or applicable law requires otherwise.

10. Warranty

Products may be covered by a manufacturer, distributor, or Shownic warranty.

12. Third-Party Services and Links

The website may contain links to third-party websites or use services provided by payment companies, delivery partners, map providers, video platforms, social networks, and other external organisations.

Shownic does not control every third-party service and is not responsible for its content, availability, policies, or independent actions.

Use of a third-party service may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • The website is provided on an “as available” basis

  • We do not guarantee that the website will always be uninterrupted or error-free

Where liability cannot legally be excluded, it will be limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded, including any mandatory consumer rights that may apply.

14. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for losses, claims, or expenses arising from:

  • Your unlawful use of the website

  • Your violation of these terms

  • Fraudulent information provided by you

  • Your infringement of another person’s rights

  • Misuse of your account under your control

This section does not apply where the matter resulted directly from Shownic’s own unlawful conduct or negligence.

The website and its content are owned by or licensed to Shownic.

Protected content may include:

  • Brand names

  • Logos

  • Product photographs

  • Videos

Where possible, we will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect of such events.

19. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the applicable laws of the Republic of Iraq, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that may apply.

Disputes should first be raised with Shownic customer service so that the parties can attempt to resolve the matter directly.

When a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be submitted to the competent courts of Iraq, unless applicable law requires another procedure or jurisdiction.

20. Severability

When any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

The invalid provision will be interpreted or adjusted only to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid where legally possible.

21. No Waiver

A delay or failure by Shownic to enforce a provision does not mean that the provision or any related right has been waived.
